Located next to the main entrance door there is a 1941 Jewish Holocaust Memorial Plaque dedicated to the 386 Aizpute Jewish Men, Women and Children who were rounded up and taken to a near by forest and murdered in the summer and autumn of 1941. Synagogas iela 2, Lat: N56.71939, Lon: E021.60325
 
The inscription on the plaque reads:
 
From their homes and this building, more then 300 Aizpute residents were taken on their
last journey in the summer and autumn of 1941. They were murdered only
because they were Jews. 
 
1941 Jewish Holocaust Victims’ Reburial Place –
 
Located about 250 feet “75 m” inside the main entrance to Misinkalna Cemetery and on the left side of the road or the second path to the left you can find the memorial to the “1941 Jewish Holocaust Victims’ Reburial Place”. After World War II, a group of Jewish people returned to Aizpute to locate the site in the forest that the Aizpute Jewish residents were murdered in the summer and autumn of 1941 exhumed their bodies and gave them a decent burial by reburied them in the Misinkalna Cemetery.
